I love captain Christopher Pike as portrayed by Anson Mount. I love his ability to stay calm in the face of the unknown, during emergencies that, in Star Trek’s far-fetched stories, make the coronavirus outbreak look like playground.
Maybe such a person doesn’t exist in real life (although captain Chesley Sullenberger may be as close to it as it gets). This is what I’d like to be in my life, and this is a trait many of us need to borrow right now.
A couple of people I know have brought my attention to Mark Butler. According to how they described him, to me he looks like the Christopher Pike of financial crisis (although he says he did panic for a good 24 hours this week, following the loss of a couple of clients). He’s holding a webinar today titled “How not to freak out about money now“.
